Our Mission

To help every child achieve their potential

Our school relies on a community partnership of parents, teachers, and volunteers to provide our students with quality programs that complement their education and help them reach their potential. The Gators PTA (Parent Teacher Association) group is committed to supporting our teachers and staff while encouraging family engagement with thoughtful programs that help our students thrive.

We are a non-profit organization registered as part of Region 9 of the Washington State PTA, #9 7 20. For more information about the common PTA mission please visit PTA.org

The Grass Lake Gators PTA Goals for 2022-2023:

  • Organize student/family engagement nights to nurture and rebuild social connections coming out of the pandemic.

  • Work towards additional awards and certifications, specifically around “green initiatives” and excellence.

  • Pursue equity and seek supplemental tools to ensure that all students have access to the educational resources and community-building activities of Grass Lake Elementary and PTA. (Community Events like Carnival and School Supplies)

  • Improve communications to PTA members and the entire school community to increase interest, involvement, and understanding of our PTA organization.

  • Strengthen the partnership between the PTA and staff at Grass Lake Elementary.
